So unfortunately this week I was researching for my three essays that will be due :/ but I luckily decided to treat myself to at least one day in central London.
Friday:
My friend Paula and I started our day at Buckingham Palace to see the Changing of the Guards. Definitely not something to rave about, but it is one of those tourist things you have to do. We then went to see Cleopatra's Needle, Westminster Cathedral, and Westminster Abbey. Of course it was a 'beautiful' London day, which consisted of a steady drizzle during the 5 hours we were walking around. .. yay.. haha.
By 5pm, our other friends Abby and Meghan met up at the Wolseley to treat ourselves to a British afternoon tea for a pre-Valentine's Day celebration.

Had my first British afternoon tea at the Wolseley. SO GREAT! The pastries included a rhubarb tart, lemon meringue, pistachio napoleon, cheese cake, chocolate eclair, and a yellow cake with fondant. The sandwiches were also delicious and included a cucumber basil, tarragon chicken, egg salad with watercress, lox, and a cream cheese with celery. I choose to have a pot of the Wolseley afternoon blend which was quite good. And the scones were out of this world! I could have eaten at least a dozen of them haha.

| Don't know why the Brits drink their tea with cream…. BLECK XP |
