Week 10 March 9th- March 15th

Hey everyone. Happy to say that I am almost done with my semester! Only two more weeks left for academics then two months of traveling :) So ecstatic that I will soon explore Belfast and Dublin in Ireland, Barcelona in Spain, Oslo in Norway, Stockholm in Sweden, as well as Edinburgh and the Highlands in Scotland. I'm extremely thankful to have this opportunity and cannot wait for my family to join me early in June to travel to even more places.

As the semester is coming to a close, I am surprisingly excited to work on my final film studies essays and editing my audiovisual critical film! This Wednesday I began to bring together my "Femme Fatale" project in which I will experimentally edit together the audio and visual components from some of George Méliès' films, mainly comprising of witchcraft, and Morocco (1930). I am using Marlene Dietrich, an iconic Hollywood femme fatale actress starring in Morocco, as my main figure. I'm very excited to see where my project will go! I also got back my Dracula (1931) essay in which I analyzed the folkloric and literary conventions of the vampire in the film's rendition of the novel. My paper received an A mark! Hopefully the rest of my courses end in the same result.

Thursday:

I went on my last Social Programme trip this evening, which was the Rock 'n' Roll Tour. Do not understand why it was at 7pm, but I was still able to see some interesting sights. Only disappointment is that we did not go to Abbey Road… How can you have a Rock 'n' Roll without going to this iconic place…. beats me  -_-

Only 3 weeks till my first trip outside of England! Ireland cannot come soon enough.
Miss you all back in the States <3
